expect the unexpected...: youth camp+apyac 09

hey ppl!!so i havent been at home for almost a week,went to youth camp at broga on monday came back on thursday but stayed over at church for apyac from thursday till saturday...so i think i'm gonna blog bout it day by day then pictures at the end....so..here goes...

MONDAY
reached church at around 12 30 before leaving for campsite at broga...
was trying to finish our haagen dazs in the bus but we got kinda sick of it but jien yue n jhon managed to finish it somehow...for some reason we were all taking pics in the bus n talking the whole way,which made it seem kind of a short journey..after unloading our things from the bus we had a short briefing which somehow or other i ended up dorm leader-.-
after briefing in the hall,we went to our dorms to unpack and what not...me and crystal decided to go for mountain biking...went for our group thing after that to discuss some stuff..
then was worship practice...washed up and went for dinner before 1st session started...after altar call,went for a bit of supper with crystal before heading off for 2nd sessions worship practice...lights off at 11 45 but we stayed up till duno what time...crystal was msg-ing jessie in the other room coz she was complaining it was too cold as she was sleeping directly in fronot of the air-cond...

TUESDAY
woke up at 6 15 to go jogging with jess,xw n crys...ran a few rounds round the field then went to the caffeteria to rest and talk for a bit...where jess was talking to chickens:) and she made some new chicken friends:blackie,fatty...LOL
after washing up went for devotion at 8am...i was in jess's group and we finished like really really fast....20mins max...LOL
after that breakfast was nasi lemak but since im not that much of a morning person and cant eat that much in the morning i shared 1 packet with joyce wheres jien loon n jien yue at 2 packets each-.-
after 2nd session which lasted 3hrs+...omg...tried to get some sleep after that but ended up talking n laughing super loud with crystal in the room until the hall also could hear us...haha
we were our pillow's and bolster's names...crys's baby bolsters ended up with names stinky and stinko(twins!!)....we stole johs's pillow again...jess named it pi pi..hehe
dont remember what crys called my pillow though....talked bout jess's pillow(smelly) n xw's hippo pillow(mr.hippo)which by the way is a pink hippo pillow so we were debting bout it if it was a guy or a gurl...xw said it was a he...but jess said that it's a she coz its pink..-.-
so anyway..some of us got to sleep for a while eventually while me n crystal we're still laughing n spying on josh n dan while sms-ing them in the hall thru the window coz the girls dorm is right next to the hall...sleeping ppl got woken up after that by jhon's drumming which waas like really loud-.- so much for trying to sleep...
we had our group work stuff which we finished practicing in record breaking time...LOL
after that was games done by david...and of coz its bound to be fun+messy when it comes to david...LOL...it was more like a few mini games in one..but to cut the long story short...we all ended up covered in wet sticky flour-.-
mostly thanks to kelvin tan...
after games we helped to clean the basketball court which was a complete mess after our games...i cleaned until i ended up with a blister that wouldnt go away-.-
after trying our best to clean the mess up we went back to wash up and have dinner...but becoz me and joyce was trying to wash off all the dryed flour on our bodies and hair...we were late for dinner and i didnt get to eat the egg's-.-
also thanks to kelvin tan for taking the very last one...oh,right...the spm student finished their exams(except the ones taking bc) so they reached just in time for dinner^^
after that night's session went back to sleep but didnt really get any sleep coz we were talking so much so i ended up sleeping at 2+
i was sleeping with crystal on her bed n seriously....its REALLY REALLY cold sleeping right in front of the air-cond...

WEDNESDAY
so today,we woke up at 6 again...but we were still deciding whether to go jogging coz we were still really tired...in the end we decided to go...this time xw didnt go but reuben n josh joined us...me and crystal tried to wake jy up to go but knowing him arh...sure cannot wake up wan...but we still tried calling n sms-ing him anyway....but that guy still din wake up-.-
so after jogging a few rounds we sat near the basketball court and talked for a bit before kelvin came to ask our help to wake the guys up with de loud speaker xD
david came out at around the same time...then when kelvin called jhon's name asking him to wake up he did and came out looking really sleepy...we all laughed till david was rolling on the floor...haha...
after washing up went for devotion then breakfast which i ate quite alot surprisingly...coz i dont really eat breakfast n i dont like mee hun which was the breakfast...after the morning session which some ppl fell asleep in...we had our photo session...group photo!!we ended up taking the photo at the basketball court...after that some of us tried to go talk to the new-comers which was aunty gwen's nephew,niece n friend...but failed...so anyway..after lunch,me n joyce decided to try washing out the flour out of our clothes the previous day...joyce was nearly done by the time we finished but i gave up trying coz of my really painful blister plus i had 2shirts and 1 shorts to wash coz crystal wore my shirt-.-
while we were washing clothes others were kayaking,wall-climbing,fishing and going for flying fox...sitting where we were,we managed to watch them...hehe
okay...kayaking..jhon n jl decided to go then somehow or other(although i heard it was jhon's fault)the fell into the pond n jl lost his specs in it-.-
and coz they were still in the pond looking for his specs that is a no swimming pond btw...quite a number of ppl joined in to help them and some ended up playing...-.-
whatever happened to no swimming??but jl's specs were still not found...poor jien loon...1st his phone now his specs..haiz
wall-climbing...obviously harder than it looks but even though jy was scared but he went twice...lol...
fishing...josh caught 3fishes(i think)that we decided to barbeque and eat it for that night's dinner...
flying-fox...isaac lim went 4-5 times just coz he said no one else wanted to go edi...-.-
after that we had another short group presentation practice then went for games...treasure hunt...kind of reminded me a little bit of expedition coz of the egg...hehe
so anyway,we had to do stuff like kayaking,cycling n drinking that disgusting bitter-gourd juice..eww...kind of a long story....plus we had riddles to solve..and for some reason i think i've played a game similar to this before but i cant remember what...hmm...so anyway,autumn(my team)won....after that kelvin n david got egg-ed by some guys and yes,i managed to keep my egg alive^^
after biking for a bit me and crystal decided to go kayaking...and so we did...until....jhon,reuben,jien loon,jien yue "dumped" us into the pond-.-
fine...but...the mud in the pond was soo muddy your legs actually sink into it...eww...
me and crystal managed to tip michelle over also thanks to some help from reuben...n jhon was trying to get away from us but jy managed to get him...somehow...haha..
so after getting out of the pond,we had ice-cream from the ice cream man that came every day of our camp so we had like ice cream everyday we were at broga...^^
dinner that night was barbeque but i had no mood what so ever to go barbeque anything coz my phone's screen cracked-.-
ileft it to charge after lunch and went back to get it after bathing to realize that i couldnt on it...haiz...so i just had some noodles for dinner...although i did manage to get some marshmellows from reuben...hehe
oh...and something else...jy heard something really creepy in the guys toilet next to their dorm...apparently he was in there doing stuff when he heard a voice...at first he thought it was someone or someone's phone coz he said that it sounded like it was recorded...but then he realized that no one was there so he just faster chao-ed...after the last session of camp we heard from somewhere that isaac teh heard the same thing also...creepy...
so since it was our last night at camp we had our junk food supper like every other camp...talking and eating...eating and talking...and boo-ing kelvin xD
after a while i remembered that jy still owed we a hot cup so i asked him for it n he said that it was back at the dorm so i asked him to go get it...but he was still scared and kinda freaked out from what happened before...so reuben teman him to go get it..in the end they came back empty handed coz david had already taken all the food from the dorm..haha..
after eating and talking,some guys decided to play a bit of baskeball so they did n me,crystal,bel and joyce went to watch...me n joyce decided to write stuff for ppl on the sticky notes that ppl gave one another...malas explain nia...
and because most of the guys were playing basketball n daniel wanted to play futsal they were supposed to go back to change into shorts but they ended up going to bed...so this is i think the 1st camp that they didnt get to play futsal...haha..poor daniel
went to sleep at almost 4 that night...or rather..morning...

THURSDAY
managed to get up in time for devotion the next morning which jess n xw decided to combine their groups,which made us a bigger group...xD
so anyway,after that had our group presentations...our group presented our super short skit first then spring group presented the camp theme song-from the inside out by hillsong...then winter presented another skit which we all ended up laughing like mad ppl...all of us sang the theme song together after that as a whole camp as a practice for the presentation on sunday..
after that we gave prizes to all the groups..1st-auntumn,2nd-spring,3rd-winter..
went back to our dorms to pack up...ate lunch before heading back to church...
and normally i would just say going home...but not this time..stayed at church for a few days before actually going home because of the youth alive conference...crystal went back for a while before coming back to church...bathed and had dinner at medan,met joyce,david n jy there then went to gtpj for the revival meeting that night...and yes....we did miss the 1st day coz of camp...so after that went to mamak for a while before going back to church...before sleeping i realized that i forgot to leave my toothbrush with me but asked my grandparents to bring it home along with all my other clothes so i decided to use my finger as a toothbrush that night...coz it was too late and we were too sleepy to go out and buy a new toothbrush...haha...brushing ur teeth with your finger is kinda weird coz you keep bitting your finger n it taste weird..plus you cant really feel the fresness of it..almost like it didnt even make any difference brushing it or not..and i finally got my replace ment phone brought over from home but even though i dont like it but its just for a few days...

FRIDAY
it was freezing cold sleeping at church..half the time i coudnt even sleep and kept waking up...haiz...we bought breakfast before coming back to church the night before so we just ate that..some biscuits n bread before going for conference..the whole conference was really great...from worship to the speakers to everything else...and ps.mike pilavachi's sermons seem to pass by really really fast...plus it was hilarious..after conference went back to church to bathe...then went for dinner at a&w...by this time i was really really tired and some ppl started falling sick...we didnt go back to gtpj that night coz most of us had christmas practice at church and others had no transport coz david was not free...during practice i was still so tired that i forgot pretty much all my steps...haiz...but i somehow managed to pull through practice even though i didnt go all out with energy during the dances coz there was practically no more energy left....we did full-dress rehearsal today and it turned out pretty good...we encountered a bit of a cockroach problem that night when we were trying to go brush our teeth..and yes,i bought my toothbrush that morning...oh..and joshua's voice!!haha!!!he lost his voice singing so much that he had to talk in that high pitch girls voice that made us all laugh until we too lost our voices-.-
i still couldnt sleep coz it was still too cold and bel who was sleeping next to me kept messaging ppl so i could see the light n couldnt sleep-.-my leg cramped in the middle of the night when i wanted to go turn off the air-cond or somthing...soo pain...but i couldnt see anything so i decided to bear with the cold...

SATURDAY
today was the last day of conference...went to bidara for breakfast then went to conference...went back to church to choose some pics n songs for our youth camp song presentation at service the next day,had ban mee for dinner at ss15 before going back to gtpj for the closing..also managed to buy some cd's from the band "brad & rebekah" and managed to get some of their pics n autographs also...after conference finally managed to go back to home sweet home wher it was no longer cold and didnt even wake up a single time throughout the night...^^

SUNDAY
today lost my voice but still had to eat the roti canai my dad bought for breakfast-.-
still have to sing after that sumore...haiz..so anyway,went to church,worship,presented the song,sermon then we set up the chairs for the christmas event this saturday and sunday...waited for my lunch...mcD again...haiz...everyone went out for lunch so i just stayed there bored till xw came back with mine...after christmas practice went home but still went out for dinner and could hardly rest...

this post actually took me a total of 2 days to write and i think its my longest post yet..hahabut anyway..sorry for spelling errors if there are any or grammer errors..and i think there should be another post coming up right after this one...but i have to take my lunch 1st of course..hehe
